In a person’s life they only have a hand full of people
who they remember as having a distinct impact on their lives.
These are people who teach them life lessons; they gain new perspectives,
things to love, and at times use their guidance to decide the road best taken.
Sometimes it takes years to understand some of the thoughts
which were implanted throughout ones life.
But with age comes wisdom and those hopefully thoughts are turned into actions.
I was blessed with a very short list of people who molded my thoughts.
admittedly at the top of my list is you.
Not only did you give me the thoughts I think,
you gave me the memories and dreams most people never get to share.
I saw parts of the world I would have never seen if it were not for you.
I got the love of a family beyond what most families share.
You taught me strength and compassion.
I learned to love the game of baseball…
for all this I love you…
Words cannot convey the gifts you have given me in my life…
so there is only one gift I can give you in return,
to show you each and every day how much I love you…
and I pray that over the years I made you proud of the person I have become…
